Local Quest
Privacy
This page explains the information Local Quest uses to provide the game and help young people find activities in Camden.
What we use
Local Quest can work with a private device-based Quest or with an account. We use account sign-in details, private player choices such as age band and interests, saved activities, and Quest progress such as XP, ranks and completed challenges.
We also keep the information needed to show activities, remember your choices and run the features you actively use.
Location and check-in
Near me can use a one-off device location reading to sort nearby Quests.
When a young person actively taps I'm here, Local Quest asks for location permission and takes a one-off reading to check they are at or near the activity before awarding XP. Local Quest does not continuously track players, track them in the background, share live location with other players or show a public check-in history.
Reports, feedback and email
Report a problem and feedback forms are designed to be anonymous. Please do not include personal details you do not want to share. Problem reports are sent to the Local Quest team by email so they can be reviewed.
Local Quest uses Supabase for account and application data, and Resend to send operational emails. Activity providers are responsible for their own sessions and booking sites; their sites have their own privacy information.
Your choices
You can update private Quest choices in Settings. Some preferences are stored only in your browser so the map can personalise picks on that device. You can clear those choices from the Quest guide.
